WHAT: House Majority Policy Committee Chairman Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin) and Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) are hosting a hearing on welfare reform efforts in the Commonwealth, including qualification and access to programs, as well tackling waste, fraud and abuse.
LUZERNE – Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) is hosting a Concealed Carry Seminar on Thursday, May 18, at the Luzerne Fire House, located at 66 Tener St., in Luzerne.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) announced this week that he will host a Small Games of Chance Seminar on Wednesday, May 3, from 6-9 p.m., at the Wyoming Hose Company, 70 E. 3rd St., in Wyoming.
LUZERNE – In the spirit of spring cleaning, Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) will host a Shredding Day event for residents of the 120th District to more easily dispose of some unneeded items. This will be held on Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the West Side Career and Technical Center, located at 75 Evans St., in Pringle.
WHAT: In conjunction with U.S. Congressman Lou Barletta’s (R-11) Main Street Tour program, Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) will join him to visit with several businesses and organizations in Luzerne Borough.
LUZERNE – In an effort to honor all area Vietnam-era veterans, Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) and Sen. Pat Toomey’s (R-PA) State Director Col. Robert DeSousa will join at a ceremony to commemorate March 29 as National Vietnam Veterans Day in Luzerne County.
WHAT: Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) is participating in Geisinger Health Plan’s public discussion about Pennsylvania’s continuing fight against opioid abuse, as part of its #HadEnough initiative.
HARRISBURG – Forms for the state’s Property Tax/Rent Rebate program for the 2016 tax year are now available, and Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) and his staff will be hosting 13 opportunities throughout the 120th District in the coming weeks to assist residents in completing the forms.
WHAT: Rep. Aaron Kaufer (R-Luzerne) will be reading to students at Chester Street Elementary School as part of its Reading Rally. Kaufer’s mother, Larinda Kaufer, started the Reading Rally at Wyoming Valley West. Rep. Kaufer was the first student to win the Reading Rally when he was in second grade, as a student at Chester Street. He is looking forward to visiting with students and teachers as part of this encouraging event.
